Barbie Party

During the October school holidays we held our annual full day holiday program and had a Barbie Party! Students dressed up all in pink or as their favourite Barbie and spent the day at the studio with so many fun activities.

We started out by designing and making an outfit for Barbie to wear out of fabric, diamantes and accessories! Students all then played an ice breaker bingo game where we all learnt some new and interesting facts about each other. Next was a quick snack break of fairy bread.

After morning tea Miss Bella taught everyone a fun dance routine to "Dance The Night" from the new Barbie movie. After all that exercise it was time for the day spa! We had some refreshing cucumber sheet masks and enjoyed a short meditation to relax while the mask did its magic. It was then time to get glamourous with manicures. We had a range of different nail polish colours as well as nail art stickers to make ourselves fabulous.

Lunch break included supplied sandwiches and fruit while students enjoyed a Barbie themed activity sheet with fun games and colouring in. After lunch we had even more games with pin the ponytail on the Barbie and a Barbie themed memory game.

It was then time to settle in for a movie, we chose "Barbie & The 12 Dancing Princesses" - while being served popcorn and hot chocolate. After the movie we all shared our favourite parts of the day and then wrapped the afternoon up with a final game of musical bobs!

Throughout the whole day students had a blast in our Barbie photobox where they could take their own photos with a range of pink props! We had over 200 photos which were sent to parents so they could download their favourites.

Take a look at our highlights video of how much fun everyone had. Will you join us at next years?

Princess Party

During the October school holidays we held our first full day holiday program and had a Princess Party! Students dressed up as their favourite Princess or Prince and spent the day at the studio with so many fun activities.

We started out by making and decorating our own crowns to wear, which saw some fabulous creations! Students all then sat in a circle to play an 'icebreaker' game where we all learnt some new and interesting facts about each other. Next was a quick snack break of Nutella biscuits with sprinkles.

After morning tea Miss Bella taught everyone a fun dance routine to The Lion King's "I Just Cant Wait To Be King". A special surprise was up next - we had hired some silent disco headphones so it was time to dim the lights, get the disco lights out and have a party! We even had a few games of musical statues and musical bobs - of course we all needed to set the headphones to the same channel for this one.

Lunch break included supplied sandwiches, chips and fruit. After lunch we settled in for a movie, the most voted was "Beauty & The Beast" - while being served popcorn and hot chocolate. After the movie we all shared our favourite parts of the day and then wrapped the afternoon up with a final silent disco dance-off!

The day was an absolute blast and we cannot wait for the next holiday program. I wonder what theme it will be?

Pointe Shoe Decorating

In the July school holidays we held a pointe shoe decorating workshop here at our Showtime studio. 20 of our students attended creating some stunning, sparkly, and striking designs whilst having lots of fun and having lots of laughs. Those who participated took their designs home to display as a gorgeous keepsake. Have a look at some of the beautiful pointe shoes below!
