Principal / Teacher
Helen took over as the principal at Showtime HMS in 2014 and teaches Hip Hop, Acro, Tap and Jazz. Helen has over 25 years of dance and performance experience and more than 18 years of teaching experience, having taught at many dance schools around Perth, After School Care Facilities and in Primary Schools. From the age of 18 Helen began working as a professional dancer and promotions model around Perth for nightclubs, sporting events, private and corporate functions and more. She has performed in many Fringe World shows with Lady Velvet Cabaret as well as teaching a range of adult classes (Samba, Burlesque, Hula) for Hens Night's.
Helen has successfully completed Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management, Certificate III in Fitness and Certificate III in Sound Engineering. She has been trained in all styles of dance including Modern Dance, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Acro, Cabaret and Tap, as well as modelling. Helen keeps up to date with the performing arts scene by participating in regular workshops around Perth and in Sydney at the Australian Dance Festival.

Watching a child go from being nervous about coming to class, or performing, to becoming so confident in themselves that they want to perform at every event and you can’t get them off the stage. Its amazing how dance can transform people!”
