Throughout the year we are always on the lookout for that star student who works extremely hard in all of their classes. This is a child you attends all of their dance classes regularly, who is respectful to their teachers and peers and shows their passion for dance. We announce the "Student Of The Year" at our end of year concert and the selected student receives a trophy as well as their name and photo framed at the studio and here on our website.

2025 - Elliana Aranda-Hofer

Age: 15 years
Joined Showtime HMS: 2015
Classes at time of award: Ballet Exam 2, Jazz Exam 6, Senior Ballet, Tap & Contemporary.

Elliana has been a quiet achiever since the day she joined Showtime and is our go-to student for "who remembers what we did last week?". Elliana has an amazing memory for choreography and always comes to class prepared and well rehearsed.

Elliana rarely misses a class and always pushes herself to improve. This doesn't go unnoticed and in 2022 was invited to join our advanced level jazz class. After this Elliana strived to improve even more and signed up to our Jazz exam classes and more recently has added Ballet exam as well. She has completed both level 4 and 5 Jazz with State Dance Association receiving Commended & Highly Commended results and in 2026 is working towards her level 6 exam. In 2025 Elliana took her Ballet Grade 2 exam and received a result of Highly Commended, now ready to work towards grade 3.

Elliana is also one of our most advanced tappers at Showtime and in 2026 will be making her debut in the competition world with a Tap solo which we are very excited to see where this will take her.

All of the Showtime staff find Elliana such a pleasure to have in class so there was no doubt when awarding her as our 2025 Student of the Year.
