On Saturday 1st July 2023, Showtime HMS turned back the clock to the vibrant era of synths, scrunchies and shoulder pads for our mid-year concert Electric Dreams — a high-energy celebration of iconic 80s music.
The concert was bursting with colour, character, and classic tunes that had the audience dancing in their seats. Our students embraced the theme with enthusiasm, performing routines that celebrated the fun and flair of the 1980s — from neon jazz numbers to funky hip hop and heartfelt lyrical pieces.
It was a fantastic opportunity to see how much our dancers had learned in the first half of the year, and the progress made by all age groups was clear to see. The stage was electric — in energy, sound, and spirit!
We also celebrated students who have shown excellent commitment, growth and a positive attitude in class throughout the semester.

And to top off an already unforgettable evening, we had a very special surprise during the Finale dance. As the music faded and the students struck their final pose, Kaleb jumped up on stage, got down on one knee, and proposed to our very own Miss Miranda — right there under the spotlight! The audience erupted in cheers and happy tears, making it a moment none of us will ever forget. (Spoiler alert: she said yes!)
Congratulations to all our performers — and to Kaleb and Miranda on their engagement! Electric Dreams was truly a night to remember.
