End of Year Concert 2025 – Centre Stage

Our End of Year Concert in December 2025 was one filled with emotion, celebration and reflection. Titled “Centre Stage,” this concert marked our final ever performance at the John Curtin Theatre after more than 10 years of unforgettable memories. Truly, the end of an era.

To make the occasion even more special, the concert was a sell-out, filling the theatre with energy, excitement and support from our Showtime HMS community. Seeing generations of dancers take the stage in a venue that has been such a huge part of our studio’s history was incredibly meaningful.

“Centre Stage” celebrated every dancer – their journey, their growth and their moment to shine. It was a powerful way to close this chapter and look ahead to what’s next for Showtime HMS.

Christmas Pageants 2025

Christmas 2025 brought something truly special for Showtime HMS Performing Arts – a year where scale, creativity and resilience all came together.

Both the Armadale Christmas Parade and the Perth Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant saw our dancers take to the streets once again, but with an exciting new visual element added to our performances. This year, we introduced Isis wings paired with fairy lights, creating a stunning effect as our costumes lit up the night. The glowing wings added an extra layer of magic and made our group impossible to miss, especially during the evening performances.

The Armadale parade also came with new challenges, featuring a new date and route and taking place on an extremely hot 40-degree day. Despite the conditions, our performers showed incredible determination and professionalism. We were proud to field the largest parade group, with 36 dancers performing together in fabulous Christmas costumes, moving as one and bringing festive energy to the crowd from start to finish.

Our appearance at the Perth Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant once again gave students the unforgettable experience of performing at a major televised event. Seeing our dancers featured on TV was a thrill for families at home and a moment of pride for everyone involved.

2025 was a year that truly showcased how far our parade performances have evolved – bigger groups, bold creative choices and dancers who continue to shine no matter the conditions.

Mid-Year Concert 2025 – The Battle for the Spotlight

In July 2025, our dancers took to the stage for our Mid-Year Concert, themed “The Battle for the Spotlight.” This high-energy show was all about confidence, performance presence and owning the stage, and our students delivered from start to finish.

Each routine showcased strong storytelling, character work and technique, with classes embracing the theme in their own unique way. It was wonderful to see the growth students had made in the first half of the year and the pride they felt performing for family and friends.

Christmas Pageants 2024

The 2024 Christmas season was one to remember for Showtime HMS Performing Arts, with our dancers proudly taking part in not one, but two major Christmas pageants across Perth.

We kicked things off at the Armadale Christmas Parade, where our students brought festive energy, big smiles and Christmas spirit to the streets. Their hard work and enthusiasm paid off when we were awarded Second Place in the People’s Choice Award – a huge achievement and a moment we were incredibly proud of. Seeing the community support and cheer for our dancers was truly special.

Not long after, we headed into the city for the Perth Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant. Performing amongst such a large-scale, professional event was an amazing experience for our students. A definite highlight was spotting our dancers on television during the broadcast – an exciting moment for families watching at home and a memory our students won’t forget anytime soon.

Participating in both pageants was a wonderful way to finish the year, celebrating teamwork, confidence and the joy of performing for the community.

Australian Dance Festival 2024

In September 2024, Showtime HMS travelled to Sydney to attend the Australian Dance Festival, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

The tour included 11 students and 4 amazing parent helpers, travelling from Thursday through to Monday. This trip was made possible thanks to months of dedicated fundraising throughout the year, with students and families working together to raise funds and make this opportunity accessible.

During the festival, our dancers participated in incredible workshops led by industry professionals and watched inspiring performances and shows. These experiences gave our students valuable insight into the wider dance world and motivated them to continue growing both technically and artistically.

Monday was all about sightseeing and celebrating the end of a big week. Highlights included exploring Sydney and, for some of our brave students, climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge – an experience they’ll be talking about for years to come.

We are so proud of how our students represented Showtime HMS throughout the trip and grateful to the families who helped make it such a success. We can't wait for our next trip in 2027!

Christmas Pageants 2023

The 2023 Christmas season was a special one for Showtime HMS Performing Arts, with our dancers proudly taking part in both the Armadale Christmas Parade and the Perth Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant.

For many of our students, the Armadale parade marked their very first time performing in a community parade, and we couldn’t have been prouder. Stepping out in front of large crowds, navigating a moving performance space and performing with confidence is a big achievement, especially for first-time performers. Opportunities like these are a huge part of what we love to offer at Showtime HMS – building confidence, courage and a love of performing.

In addition to the larger parades, our students also performed in a small community parade at Harrisdale Shopping Centre to help welcome Santa – a lovely opportunity to perform locally and spread some Christmas cheer.

Our Perth Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant appearance was another exciting highlight. Performing in such a large-scale event and then spotting our dancers during the television broadcast was incredibly exciting for students and families alike. Seeing their hard work showcased on TV made the experience even more memorable.

Both parades were a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year, create lasting memories and share the joy of dance with the wider community.

Christmas Pageants 2023

In 2022 we welcomed back the Armadale Christmas parade which had taken a break for the past 2 years due to covid, however now it had moved to a Saturday evening meaning it was a very busy day for the Showtime HMS team. We had two groups of performers with one at the Armadale parade and the other performing at the Perth Alinta Christmas Pageant.

For many of our students this was their first ever Christmas pageant performance so it was a very exciting time! Our students dressed in a range of Christmas themed costumes and danced down the streets of Armadale & Perth.

Congratulations to all that participated and we hope it got you in the Christmas spirit ready for the holiday season ahead.

We were lucky to get a lot of screen time on Channel 7's presentation of the Perth Pageant, if you missed it you can watch below.
