Armadale Christmas Parade

It's that time of year again! Time to get in to the Christmas spirit!!

Showtime students have been at the studio for extra rehearsals these past few weeks to rehearse for our Christmas parade performances.

First up was the Armadale Christmas Parade held in conjunction with the Carols By Candlelight on Friday 1st December. Our performers were dressed in Christmas themed costumes including candy canes, Christmas tree's, angels and more.

We were lucky to be the first walking group in the parade to set the scene and our dancers did a beautiful job dancing their way down Jull St.

Visit our Facebook album for more photo's from the parade.

Excelsior School Fair

On Sunday 2nd of April a selection of our elite students attended the Excelsior Primary School Fair to perform for the public. We had a mix of routines including our elite hip hop troupe, elite jazz troupe, intermediate ballet class, intermediate hip hop class, intermediate jazz class, senior jazz class, toddler jazz class and a solo lyrical dance performed by our Student Of The Year, Gemma.

The students had worked hard prior to the fete practising their dances at the studio and making changes to accommodate the performance space. We are very proud of everyone who participated and thank them for representing Showtime HMS Performing Arts so well.

Our next performance will be held at John Wollaston College on Saturday 6th May at 1:00pm.

John Wollaston School Fair

John Wollastan Anglican Community School in Kelmscott held their annual fair on Saturday 6th April and Showtime HMS Performing Arts was the only dance school invited to perform. Our students aged from 4yrs to 15yrs performed a mix of routines in Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet and Contemporary dance.

The students put on an outstanding show for their audience and we had great reports from the audience on their performance skills and professionalism during the event.

Thank you to John Wollaston for having us! Photo's from the day can be viewed on our Facebook album.

RAC Christmas Pageant

On Saturday 3rd December we had 36 students and 2 parents perform in the Perth RAC Christmas Pageant. After missing out last year when the pageant was cancelled due to poor weather our students were extremely excited for this years event. Throughout the week students had been coming to rehearsals to practise their performance and get used to dancing whilst always travelling forward. This year Showtime HMS were lucky enough to also have students on the Peter Pan Pirate Ship float and be involved with a photo shoot and interview for The West Australian newspaper.

It was a long cold wait on the street before the pageant however once it begins it is all worth it as the students had so much fun! It was great to see so many of our Showtime family in the audience cheering us on, we thank you for coming along especially since the weather didn't start off so great.

We are so proud of our Showtime students who participated. We watched the televised pageant the next day and everyone looked amazing in their sailor and pirate costumes. The students danced beautifully and had the biggest smiles the whole time. We had a great shot on TV this year and were so happy to be involved once again. We can't wait until next year!

If you missed it you can see a clip of Showtime dancing below.

We were very excited to be a part of the first ever fete held by St Emilies and hope to be invited back again next year. Congratulations to all of the performers on your hard work.

Students will also be performing at the upcoming Hills Heartbeat Festival at Southern Hills Christian College on Saturday 2nd April from 3pm. We would love to see students and parents there supporting our performing troupes.
